Weasels are runnin me to death ...

Weasels are runnin me to death,
I checked my gas there ain't much left.
Still i will take a parting shot,
Before I leave myself to rot.

Barbaric motherfucking weasels

Weasels
Weasels

Weasels have always been my friends,
I've turned them loose now there's no end.
Giants of rock tell giant lies,
Weasels control the evil skies.
Barbaric motherfucking weasels,
Bad breath bad taste cause of diseases.

I feel disgrace and I feel shame,
I feel anger and I feel blame,
I feel suspicion and I feel pride,
I feel weasels on all sides.

Weasels
Weasels
Weasels
Weasels
Weasels

With guitars on t.v,
Weasels
Rewriting rock history,
Weasels
With an office and a chair,
Weasels
With nice butts and long silky hair.

Weasels suck and weasels blow,
Weasels control rock and roll
Weasels control rock and roll
Weasels control rock and roll
Weasels control rock and roll
Rock and roll
Rock and roll
Rock and roll

Weasels

  1. what would it take to make this man understand that M.E./CFS has been classified as a neurological illness by the WHO since 1969?

Wessely S (2009). Surgery for the treatment of psychiatric illness: the need to test untested theories.

"But there is also a second and more disturbing explanation for the alacrity and uncritical nature with which somatic explanations are endorsed on often the flimsiest of evidence. Psychiatry, its patients and its practitioners, continue to be stigmatised like no other branch of medicine. In 2008 I spoke at a meeting on chronic fatigue syndrome organised by the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM). There was a concentrated effort by some campaigners to have my invitation and that of my two psychiatric colleagues rescinded. Others wrote to the President of the RSM asking why psychiatrists could be permitted to attend a meeting at a society with the name “medicine” in its title, and seemed perplexed to learn that psychiatrists were actually permitted not just to attend, but to be members of the organisation. If one reads the angry responses to any article that mentions chronic fatigue syndrome and psychiatry in the same breath, it is clear that the drive to find a somatic biomarker for chronic fatigue syndrome is driven not so much by a dispassionate thirst for knowledge but more by an overwhelming desire to get rid of the psychiatrists. That it is psychiatry that to date has made the most progress in treating chronic fatigue syndrome is at best an irrelevance, and at worst just a further insult."

  2. Please could you post the link for the ME Research UK xmas cards sometime Dr Speedy? The only way to fight the evil weasels seems to be through biomedical research

Poor Prof Wessely, don'tcha just feel so very sorry for him - to be so badly misunderstood after all he's done for us? Ugh??

  5. He has deliberately misrepresented the concerns expressed over the RSM meeting, which had mainly psychiatrists speaking about a physical illness.

What does he mean by 'chronic fatigue syndrome'? He has widened the term so far from the WHO definition of it as a a neurological illness, that to him it now seems to include anyone feeling a bit tired. He also confuses it with depression.

What ever happened to 'first do no harm'? This man has done immeasurable harm to M.E. sufferers.

  6. well there is professor wessely's version of is 'truth'...then there is the 'TRUTH'.
i know a fair few folks with m.e., of those i know , none have a prob with psychiatrists per se, some consult with psychiatrists for help with resulting reactive depression from being ill so long with a neurological illness, and the impact it has both on their health and their lives.

I don't know any that are unaware or would be perplexed, that psychiatry is a branch of medicine.

across the board though, people are angry that particular psychiatrists, most notably prof.w.,deny the existance of myalgic encephalomyelitis, and define a condition that bears little resemblance to the illness people with m.e. experience....further, he/they continue to peddle ridiculous, offensive and insulting allegations as to why people with m.e continue to be ill. his allegations and description have no basis in actual or scientific fact, and are incompatible with the research, and the experiece of those who have m.e. and those many professionals who are informed about m.e., and who have worked tirelessly over the years.

Not content with fabricating an illness that has no basis in fact , he / they peddle g.e.t. and c.b.t as effective management strategies.

if he had any idea about the reality of m.e, then he would comprehend how ludicrous these management strategies are. people with m.e. who have actually tried g.e.t have been made more ill, and if prof. w read the research he would understand the physiological explanation for why this is so.

the money that should be being used to further progreess into reasearch and treatment for m.e.is instead being ploughed into management strategies that are at best unhelpful and at worst harmful. that is why people with m.e. object.

quite how someone who is paralysed can increase their activity is beyond me. quite how someone who is unable to talk, follow a train of thought, or process conversation, can benefit from c.b.t. is beyond me. when these are the only 'management strategies being offered - we are indeed angry. -
we are heartily sick of this rubbish - people are dying for pity's sake. how many more?

  7. comment continued......

if prof. w was was a 'joe bloggs' in the street, we could pat his head gently, and say there, there, send him on his way, and get on with trying to get well.

unfortunately he isn't a 'joe bloggs', and his views are widely read, and swallowed - hook, line and sinker, by those you would hope would have the intelligence to know better. he may be a wonderful psychiatrist for those with mental health conditions, but of m.e. - he appears to be utterly clueless, and should leave well alone, so those who do know about this illness can get on with trying to move things forward.

so not only do we have an illness for which there is no effective help, treatment or a cure, we face an active wall of lies, and misinformation, in attempts to find effective help, treatment or a cure. a wall built ever higher by this particular group of psychiatrists.

people have died as a result of m.e. people have died from having other illnesses that were uninvestigated due to coming under the dismissive cfs umbrella, people across the globe are extrememly ill with the myriad of scientifically proven severe symptoms that m.e. causes. people have committed suicide unable to tolerate the excrutiating pain some with m.e. experience, from which there is currently no effective treatment, people have committed suicide because they can no longer cope with having their heads played with - being told they are not reallly ill when they are in fact gravely ill. how many more have to die for pity's sake?

If psychiatrists who were informed about m.e. had chosen to attend the r.s.m. conference - no-one would have batted an eyelid.

when those particular individuals that put forward their own erroneous beliefs as fact, and actively impede progress in treating m.e., and are offensive and insulting to those with an illness they have shown to know nothing about - yes there is anger, righteous anger, and yes we do not want those indiviuals present at the conference, peddling more of their web of lies.

he can peddle his lies till the cows come home, but it doesn't alter the fact they ARE lies. it doesn't alter the fact he is seen as a dangerous fool.

Despite his delusions of grandeur that he is hated by all those with m.e., it is in fact his views with regards to this illness, his actions that impede progress, and his arrogant and unwarranted denigration of people who are severely physically ill,.which are so resented and treated with the contempt they deserve.

we would like our lives back, we would like to maximise our chances of recovery, we would like treatment.

These particular psychiatrists have not only done absolutely zilch with regards to effectively treating the neurological illness m.e.
