New Scotsman on road to become a legend

Scotland’s newest Formula One hope was formally unveiled yesterday and said he hoped to one day achieve what fellow Scots Jim Clark and Jackie Stewart had in their careers.
Paul di Resta, 24, will become the third British driver on the Formula One grid alongside world champions Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button when the championship resumes in Bahrain in March.
The driver, who is from Uphall, West Lothian, is part of a famous motor-racing family – Indy 500 winner Dario Franchitti and sportscar veteran Marino Franchitti are his cousins.
F1 observers said he could earn between £3 million and £4m this year in sponsorship.
Yesterday, he took his place alongside fellow driver Adrian Sutil and reserve driver Nico Hulkenberg, both Germans, as the Force India team announced its new line-up in Glasgow.
He was introduced to a large media contingent at the headquarters of Force India sponsor Whyte & Mackay. Read more>>
