Sock It Professor

Cluster outbreaks leave little doubt that ME/CFS is an infectious disease.

Healthy people alongside those of us with ME/CFS: everyone needs to take a stand because those who have not yet got the disease are at risk of getting it. A few nations are only just beginning to initiate, or even consider, bans on ME/CFS patients donating blood.

The tragedy of infection through transfusion can be avoided only if we insist that health systems everywhere take action.

When they see the amazing displays of socks, people will ask questions. When they ask questions, they will learn. Every time we hang out our socks we’re teaching.

We NEED healthy people to help get the word out as we’re often too sick to do it ourselves, thus becoming invisible and marginalized.
