This is an opportunity for NDs and MDs to bring their notes (and a patient in person if they wish) to discuss what testing might help move the patient ahead, what new treatments could be tried etc. Please come with questions prepared. Registration is limited to 8 participants to optimize opportunity for discussion and learning.

Topic: New research in ME/CFS including: XMRV - Is this newly discovered retrovirus an innocent bystander or central player?

This is an opportunity for all health professionals with an interest in ME/CFS to meet each other and get an update on the latest research. There will be an opportunity to explore challenging new research directions in more depth than during the CME program.

The educational program is specifically designed for the learning needs of family doctors and specialist physicians. All licensed medical professionals will benefit from attending.
CME Accreditation
This program has been reviewed by The College of Family Physicians of Canada and is awaiting final accreditation by the College’s Alberta Chapter. It has been approved for up to 3.5hours of MAINPRO M1 Credits and 2.5 hours of MAINPRO C Credits. This program has been approved for up to 3.5 hours of Section 1 Credits + 2.5 hours of Section 3 Credits as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. This program has been reviewed and approved by Continuing Medical Education and Professional Development, University of Calgary.
